The Lake

Cedar Creek Lake is located approximately one hour southeast of Dallas. It is one of the most popular areas in Northeast Texas for those seeking lake activities, living and leisure. We’re surrounded by thirteen incorporated communities, and offers diverse lodging, dining, retail, RV sites, and water sports—all located on or near the shoreline. Cedar Creek is the fourth largest in Texas at 18 miles long and 8.5 miles wide.

What’s Biting?

Find Largemouth bass at the lower end of the reservoir, near Long Cove and where the water is clearest. The lake record for largemouth bass is 14.65 pounds. Catfish are also abundant, with more blues than channel cats in the legal size range. Hybrid striped bass are stocked annually with a lake record of 13.19 pounds. Apart from these, Crappie are also common throughout the lake.
